Even though we are in the crisis of the pandemic, our country is still functional. But just because plumbers are used to working in sometimes stenchy conditions, this does not mean working during a viral outbreak will be business as usual, and as a customer seeking help especially when it comes to plumbing issues, there is uneasiness that letting someone enter your house may not be safe.
As a locally owned and operated business, we want to assure you that the health and safety of our customers, team members, and community is taken seriously at Top Malabanan.
Top Malabanan Covid 19 Safety Precautions on How to Avoid Covid 19
For the safety of everyone, according to the public advice of the World Health Organization here are some ways to keep yourself safe! At Top Malabanan, we make sure that safety comes first to our plumbers and customers:
1. Hygiene Practice
In plumbing, dirty hands and tools come with the territory. That is why it is advisable to regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. Why? Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands.
The World Health Organization even recommends washing often for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, especially after sneezing, coughing, blowing your nose or returning from a public space. If you’re unable to wash your hands right away, use hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol. Though it may be difficult to resist, avoid touching face between hand washes.
And for the tools used in work, we advise that before and after using tools, wash hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer. Try to avoid sharing tools with co-workers if possible. At the end of the day, clean the tools with a mild soap and water to remove dirt and grease before disinfecting with a diluted bleach solution.
2. Safety is priority, Keep your distance
When it comes to plumbing at work in your property, there might be some instances that customers like to watch our work (or hover, as some do). But it is advisable to stay at least 6 feet away from coworkers and customers. This is especially important if our employees are engaging work in the homes of elderly or other at-risk populations.
Why? There are some instances that we cough and sneeze from dust, although we might not be a Covid 19 carrier. It is better to be careful and safe.
3. Prevention is better than cure
It is better to stop something bad from happening than it is to deal with it after it has happened, since it is crucial to have plumbing issues during pandemic, especially to those who have ever had a toilet back up or a pipe burst.
For plumbing matters it is advisable that before going to the customer site, the company should make sure that both sides are informed, if someone may have symptoms or queries, from that we can all avoid the spread of virus and be safe.
Even though we are all facing the new normal and we are still adjusting to the new environment, Top Malabanan can still provide high quality plumbing services such as; blocked and clogged drains, running toilets, leaking pipes and faucets, septic tank cleaning, maintenance and repair, sip sip pozo negro and more.
